Bible Study Most Wed nights starting at 7PM A small group of people that desire to follow Christ and Preach the Gospel.

We are located in the downtown Spring Valley area at the corner of East Saint Paul and Cornelia Streets. Our focus is to Love God with all our Heart, Mind Soul and Strength and Love each other as Christ has loved us. We believe That Christ is the Son of God and died for our sins on the cross. That the Blood of Jesus is the only path to salvation and that leads to being born again. Salvation is mor

e than confession but bears fruits of the spirit in the lives of the Sons of God according to scripture. We also believe in the gifts of the Spirit and the power of God, but not that all share the same spiritual Gifts, or that manifestation of gifts is necessary for salvation....however spiritual fruit is. A tree will either bare good fruit, or Bad fruit according to it's kind, and a tree that bears no fruit is not fulfilling it's purpose in the Kingdom. We are scripture based and focused. We believe in active ministry within and outside the church. We believe in raising up and equipping Christians to walk in the calling and purpose God created them. Our Morals and Standards are biblically based. Our Praise and Worship is a mix modern contemporary and some older Gospel at times. We do not strive to be relevant to the world, but rather pleasing and acceptable to God in and out of season, believing that the unadulterated Gospel of Christ and Word of Scripture is sufficient for a time such as this.

Well, after many months of study and compilation...ON Sept 16th (Wed night 6:30pm) We are going to start an in depth series going through the History of the Church. From the shaping of the Apostles, ...to the forming of the Church of ACTS...The Biblical blue print of the First Church, The Apostolic Era, The expansion of the Church, What Happened after the Apostles died, The Lesser and Greater Persecutions, Roman influence, The Time of Constantine, The major Councils, The Great Schism, the Dynamics of the divided church, Christianity in the Middle ages....Up to Luther and the Protestant birth....all the way to the modern Pentecostal and Charismatic movements including the roots of church traditions when and where they originated.

I won't lie...it's a lot but, it won't be exhaustive..(it can't be) there is just to much, but it is going to be a solid foundation and give you a very strong historical founded overview of how the Church formed, and how it has changed over the last 2000+ years.
If your one of those Christians that doesn't like to take anyone's word for it, and are searching for TRUTH your going to love this study. It will be several weeks and could run through the Winter depending of discussion and how quickly we move through it.

If God has called you as an Evangelist...then Evangelize...
As a Teach....then Teach
As a Servant ....then Serve
As a Provider...then Give
As a Pastor...then Shepherd
Just make sure, that it is God that has called you to it, and NOT your own desire for that position.
We all have a role and a Purpose for which God has created and called us. Encourage and support one another for we are called to Works of righteousness (works of obedience) for His Glory. So that everything we Say and Do...and even, the thoughts of our mind and desires in our hearts.....should Glorify Him, the one that we Love.
Steward the amazing Gift God has given you Well.
