**You are Invited to the Cedine Family Prayer Meeting**

In 1946, Cedine officially opened its tent flaps and extended welcoming arms to African American children in East Tennessee. So much has happened since then, and God has blessed this ministry greatly!
2026 is Cedine’s 80th Anniversary Year! Nothing that has been accomplished was accomplished without looking to our Heavenly Father in prayer.
It’s time to gather again. We're going LIVE on Saturday, February 28th for a special time of testimonies and thanksgiving, concluding with Noon Day Prayer.

A fellow soldier and servant of the Lord is with his Lord and Maker. Bro. Dwight served as Director of Cedine from 1966 to 2000. He was involved with Cedine from its inception and continued to serve faithfully as his strength allowed all his life.

Paul “Dwight” Zimmerman age 90 of Spring City, because of his trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross to be sufficient for the payment of his sin, was welcomed into the eternal glory of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Dwight was born May 8th 1935 to Paul and Ruth Zimmerman, founders of the Cedine Bible Mission. His parents and foursiblings moved to Rhea County in 1944.

At the age of 13 he began his high school years at Prairie Bible High School located in Alberta, Canada, and from there received formal Bible training at Southland Bible Institute, Midwest Bible and Missionary Institute and Bryan College, where he graduated in 1959.

He was a charter member of Christian Fellowship Church of Grandview, Tennessee in 1948 where he was ordained and served as pastor from 1957-1966. In 1966 Dwight served as General Director of Cedine Bible Mission from 1966-2000, and he and his wife Phyllis remained as missionaries until their deaths.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Calvin Zimmerman, his first wife Betty Grace Starring, 1957-1966, his second wife Phyllis Joanne Zehr 1968-2025, infant daughter Rebecca Ann, infant granddaughter Kristen Grace Adams, and four daughters-in-law.

Dwight is survived by a very large and loving family of five children, Stephen (Joan) Zimmerman of Spring City, Tennessee, Phillip (Julia) Zimmerman of Grandview, Tennessee, Timothy Zimmerman of Spring City, Tennessee, Susan Zimmerman (Ken) Adams of Spring City, Tennessee, Keren Zimmerman (Craig) Baca of St Louis,Missouri brother Titus (Donna) Zimmerman of Ten Mile and sisters Joy Zimmerman Allen of Georgia and Ruth Ann Zimmerman Potchen, 21 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

There was a great reunion that took place in heaven the day the Lord called him home. Most of his heritage is looking forward to that reunion as well. Will you be there?

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Cedine Jubilee Center, 333 Cedine Camp Rd., Spring City, Tennessee at 2:00 P.M. The body will lie in state there one hour before services. Interment to follow at Cedine Cemetery.
