Whitworth Kids The Children's Ministry of Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church

Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church seeks to create a children’s ministry program that comes alongside children and their families so that they may know, love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do this by creating a safe and kid-friendly environment that welcomes and loves children through intentional relationships with their leaders and teaches God’s Holy Scripture in imaginative and creative ways.

If you haven’t heard the news, starting in July, Rose will be taking over as children’s ministry coordinator! If you have any questions about Whitworth Kids, send them her way. Tomorrow is Emma’s last Sunday, and we’ll have cake to celebrate the end her master’s degree & the last five years of ministry as she moves onto her next chapter! Service starts at 10am, followed by cake and yard games in the courtyard after.

True North VBS day 3! We talked about how when we need hope, we can trust Jesus. Scout and Ranger Rory bonded over having hope through our friends, and Captain Cosmos finally got enough beans to power her rocket. We also hit our Family Promise fundraising goal and raised over $900! Thanks for another awesome VBS year, everyone. More crew photos to come!

Sea lions and caribou and grizzlies, oh my! True North VBS day 2 was a blast. We sang more songs with Ranger Rory, played the silliest gopher parachute game, heard from a Roman soldier during our Bible story, and learned that when we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus! One more day of VBS—keep bringing money for Family Promise. We want our giving tree to be full of pinecones!

True North VBS Day 1! We met Aurora Borealis (aka Ranger Rory), Scout Rivers, and found Captain Cosmos in the wilderness. Together, we learned that even when we feel alone, we can trust Jesus. Highlights included Bear Bites for snack, fake snow in crafts, and learning about Family Promise. Remember to bring in money for Family Promise so we can keep adding pinecones to our tree! We can’t wait for tomorrow!
