Whitworth Kids The Children's Ministry of Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church

Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church seeks to create a children’s ministry program that comes alongside children and their families so that they may know, love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do this by creating a safe and kid-friendly environment that welcomes and loves children through intentional relationships with their leaders and teaches God’s Holy Scripture in imaginative and creative ways.

We’re gearing up for VBS at Whitworth Church! Our first decorating night is THIS WEDNESDAY, from 6-8! Anyone is welcome to join. Bring the whole family and help us make decorations as we slowly transform the church into an Alaskan wilderness!

Our last Sunday School of the school year! We fittingly talked about the great commission and how Jesus’s love is with us always. We talked about how we can make everyone, everywhere feel welcome, and we made triangle quilt pieces to remind us of all of the different ways and forms God’s love shows up in our lives. It’s been a great year, Whitworth Kids! We’ll see you in a few weeks for ✨Summer Squad✨

Before, after, and everything in between🤪🤭😎 Our final Kids Club of the year included shirt-signing, a dance party, and an epic relay that ended in building ice cream sundaes on the leaders’ heads! The rain stopped just in time to spend the last ten minutes under a gorgeous rainbow and sunset as we covered each other in shaving cream and paint. Thanks for the great memories this year, Whitworth kids and families! We’ll see you at the end of June for VBS!

Looking back on Mess Fests from the past four years… we’ve made some excellent messy memories. Join us for our 5th annual Mess Fest tomorrow! Rain or shine, we will be ready to have a wonderfully messy time. Make sure to bring a towel and clothes you can get dirty! We will provide white shirts. This is our final Kids Club of the school year and it’s gonna be a blast!

Some 5th grade farewells & good old move-up night parachute chaos. We spent some time feeling all the feelings tonight as we spent our last evening in the Mountaintop Room🥰🥺🤪🥳 We read “What the Road Said,” and talked about the different roads God takes us on, wrote affirmation posters, played a hilarious game of Pterodactyl, and ended the night celebrating the 5th graders🩵 What a special year it has been! Be sure to come next week to finish the year off with our annual Mess Fest celebration!

4th & 5th grade sleepover success! We had so much fun running around campus, walking to fro-yo, playing night games, and watching Ratatouille (with Remy the rat puppet, of course!) It is so sweet to watch these kids create such a genuine and inviting community💙
