For Monday's dinner, we will be having hamburgers with all the fixin's, chips, watermelon wedges and "blue fluff" was requested for dessert. Pastor Vic will continue our series - Bedrock: Building a Life on the Words of Christ. Come join us for dinner, we'll save you a seat.

Ever feel like the ground beneath your feet shifted overnight without a single warning on the radar?

When I severely injured my back while moving a patient in the ER, my entire world changed in an instant. The career I loved, the health I relied on, and the plans I had carefully built were suddenly stripped away. In those months of painful free fall, a deep, quiet anxiety settled in. I found myself looking around at my broken circumstances and asking: Is there anything in this life that doesn't change? Is there anything I can rely on?

That is exactly the tension Jesus steps into. He doesn't promise us a bubble-wrapped life where the landscape never changes, but He does make a promise that outlasts the chaos: "The sky and the earth won’t last forever, but my words will." When my health and plans failed, His promises of grace, forgiveness, and constant presence became my unbreakable bedrock. In a world defined by transition, Jesus is the one constant who stands firm.
