🚧 More construction announced! 🚧

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. – The INDOT Northeast announces the closure of State Road 14 near South Whitley for pipe construction.
Starting on or after June 1, crews will work on the pipe between S. 475 W. and S. 350 W. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of June. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. – The INDOT Northeast announces the closure of State Road 14 near South Whitley for pipe construction.

Starting on or after June 1, crews will work on the pipe between S. 475 W. and S. 350 W. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of June. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of State Road 9, State Road 114 and State Road 5, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in all around all work zones.

More road construction coming that could affect those traveling from Fort Wayne and other points east of South Whitley.

We were advised this morning that State Road 14 is planned to be closed between County Road 475 West and 350 West. It's currently scheduled for June 1st - June 30th, weather dependent. Please plan to utilize alternate routes during the closure!

***UPDATE***

We've been told that local residents will have access for the Keiser Rd/State Road 14 intersection.

State Street bridge closed!

If you travel from the south using the State Street bridge over the Eel River, you'll need to take a detour.

Coming from the east on Indiana Route 14, Google Maps directed us to turn right on S 600 W then left on Pook Road.

Coming from the south on Indiana Route 5, you may instead need to go west onto Route 105 and take the bridge at Collamer.

Regardless, check your own map and give yourself some extra time in the morning.

If you travel to Trinity Reformed Church from the south using the State Street bridge over the Eel River, you'll need to take a detour. Coming from the east on Indiana Route 14, Google Maps directed us to turn right on S 600 W then left on Pook Road. Coming from the south on Indiana
