Life is full of Whirlwinds (seasons where we can’t seem to get grounded), Earthquakes (seasons where nothing seems stable), Floods (seasons where we we feel overwhelmed), and we do our best to stay positive in the midst of it all. But if we are honest it can be so hard to see the good in anything when life is constantly draining you of all you have. But i want you to know that there is hope for you NOW! Like RIGHT NOW!
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Now I know many of you may say “I DID THAT! I PRAYED AND IT DIDNT WORK” My question to you is this: Have you given up?!?! I believe we sometimes treat prayer like positively. Positivity is based on our efforts to see the good, but prayer helps us acknowledge that God IS GOOD, has good plans for us, and is more than able to turn our situation and our entire lives around! But prayer doesn’t work without faith. And Faith in the simplest term is TOTAL DEPENDENCE on God for all that you need. If we are 100% honest, it can be really hard to let go and lean on God for everything. But I want you to know there’s no better hands for you life to be in than GODS HANDS. After you have prayed it’s okay to let go. It doesn’t make you weak, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you realize that his hands it’s the best place, the safest place for my life to be in, because no one LOVES YOU and CARES FOR YOU more than God does!
And when we pray, thank, and trust God, he brings us PEACE. Now the peace of the world normally requires everything to be fixed for you to experience it, but it cannot even compare to the Peace of God. Gods peace guards our hearts and minds from the winds that attemp to sweep away hope, the shaking that attempts to uproot our faith in Gods love for us and his ability to heal, provide, and deliver; and the floods that attempt to overwhelm us and make us give up on our God given dream, purpose, and destiny. The peace of God brings calm in the midst of the storm and restores the joy and strength you need to keep pressing on.
I want to encourage you and remind you, it’s not over yet! It won’t be like this always! God has a plan for you and is working in your life to bring you out. But while you are waiting, God desire is not that you be worried or overwhelmed, but that you to have his peace, knowing that he is with you and for you!
