Very often we feel a disconnect between our belief in a good God who loves us and the pain and disappointment we experience in life. Can you feel it? God is moving—drawing us closer to Him, growing us in faith, and giving us opportunities to serve one another and our community.

This Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30pm, we kick off a new season of Wednesday Night Discipleship with an emphasis on children and families. Plan now to participate!

Due to the catastrophic damage from Tuesday’s storms, Dinner & a Movie is canceled for this weekend and will be rescheduled for another weekend.

Pastor DeShawna and the kids live in one of the hardest-hit areas and have been staying at Zuri’s home since her power was restored Thursday. Their neighborhood remains heavily impacted by downed trees, power lines, and hidden hazards, with their home now without power for five days. They have gotten a generator.

The National Guard arrived Thursday to assist, as the area continues to experience shortages of gas, water, food, and cell phone service.

🙏🏽 Please keep Pastor DeShawna and the kids in prayer as they have to return home this evening. Pray for their safety, protection, and that power and essential services are restored soon.

Party in the Park Update:

Due to storm-related shipping delays, our Build-a-Bear Party in the Park has been rescheduled today because our activity supplies have not yet arrived. However, SPARK Kids STEM activities will still take place today from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Howard Park in South Bend for children ages 2–10. Free Summer Meals will also be served at Howard Park from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM for all youth up to age 18. Thank you for your understanding—we look forward to seeing you at the rescheduled Build-a-Bear event soon!

IMPACT Youth & Hope Ministries will be going to see TOY Story 5 as our alternate activity for those who have registered to attend as agreed upon by parents:)

Join us twice each month this Summer at Howard Park from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM for Party in the Park! Families can enjoy Bible stories and FUN interactive activities in a fun and welcoming environment. Plus, South Bend Schools will be serving FREE Summer Meals for all youth ages 18 and under from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM at the park. Everyone is welcome—come make memories, build friendships, and enjoy a great morning together!

Join us for a FREE in-person REBOOT Recovery course beginning Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at South Bend First Church of the Nazarene in South Bend.

This trauma-informed, faith-based course is designed to help individuals process pain, trauma, grief, stress, and life challenges in a safe and supportive community. Dinner is included each week, and all are welcome.
