Midwest Torah Center Welcome to the Midwest Torah Center! The Midwest Torah Center is an educational organization. We meet the person according to their own level of comfort.

We instruct people on matters of Judaism and show how one can live a fulfilling Jewish life. We structure the learning programs to the individual and don't expect people to fit into any particular category.

Dear Members, I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we reflect on the blessings of our vibrant community at the Midwest Torah Center, we also recognize the responsibilities that come with maintaining our cherished institution. We are reaching out to request your immediate support through a donation of $900 for annual membership, which can also be divided into 12 monthly payments. This contribution is crucial in sustaining the spiritual, educational, and communal activities that enrich our lives and uphold our traditions. Unfortunately, our annual crowd-funder did not bring in the usual amount due to the troubled economy and inflation, making your support even more vital this year. In addition to membership dues, we urgently need funds for our building fund. Our beautiful synagogue requires essential repairs and upgrades, including fixing the roof, painting the interior, and undertaking necessary landscape and tree removal work. These improvements will ensure our synagogue remains a welcoming and safe space for all.

Furthermore, we need to cover our monthly operational expenses, which include salaries, utilities, and other expenses associated with running a building. If you are already paying membership, we deeply appreciate it and humbly ask for additional support to help keep our doors open. Your generosity and commitment are the cornerstones of our thriving community, and we all share in the responsibility to support our synagogue. Together, we can ensure that our synagogue remains a beacon of faith and fellowship for generations to come. Warm regards, Stephen Sokolow

As we approach Chanukah, we are reminded of our friend, the Olive, who must be pressed and trampled on to finally produce its oil. which can be used to give light.

Similarly, the Jew, when pressed and trampled on. with Hashem's help, always rises to the occasion to give light to the world.

We ate surely being trampled on today, and onelce again, with Hashem's help, we will succeed, shining the light of Torah into the world!

Happy Chanukah from the Midwest Torah Center, in South Bend. Indiana, and remember, if you're in the area, and need a minyan, shiur, or just Midwest hospitality, please stop by!

Dear Kehilla Members,

Nov 7th is the last day to vote in local elections. Our elected officials, and those vying for election, have been instrumental in the safety and security of the greater South Bend Jewish community.

The increased patrols, officers, and presence was added to keep us safe and give us a feeling of Menuchas haNefesh.

Our voices and our community matter and we encourage our kehilla to take this civic duty seriously to vote.

Rabbi Elie Ginsparg
Rabbi Stephen Sokolow
Mr. Aryeh Kramer
Mrs. Stacey Rubin
Mr. Ben Solomon
Mr. Simon Springer
