The difference between the wise and foolish bridesmaids wasn’t simply what they knew.

It was what they did.

We can listen to sermons, read Scripture, attend church, and know all the right answers—but wisdom is revealed when the truth reshapes our choices.

Where is Jesus asking you to move from knowing to doing?

Read Matthew 25:1–13.

Waiting can feel like God has forgotten us.

But God’s apparent delay is not necessarily His absence.

It is often in the waiting that:

• perseverance develops
• character grows
• hope takes root
• faith is tested
• trust becomes stronger

Whether you’re waiting for an answered prayer, a long-awaited breakthrough, or the return of Jesus, God is still at work.

What feels like a delay may actually be part of His design.

Church isn't a place where perfect people gather.

It's a community of people being transformed by Jesus.

We're learning to love God.

We're learning to love one another.

We're learning to forgive.

We're learning to listen to the Holy Spirit.

And we're learning to love people the way Jesus has loved us.

Sometimes we get it right.

Sometimes we don't.

But we're following Jesus together.

There's room for you here.

Join us tomorrow at Prevail Church.

Christian love doesn't begin with trying harder to be a nicer person.

It begins with being loved by God.

John Newton spent part of his life participating in the horrific slave trade. But as he encountered the grace of Jesus, something began to change.

The man who once enslaved others eventually became a pastor and opponent of the slave trade.

Grace transformed him.

That's why he could write:

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound…”

The deeper we understand how undeserved God's love for us really is, the harder it becomes to declare someone else unworthy of our love.

You don't have to earn His love today.

Receive it.

And then ask Him to help you give it away.

It's easy to love people who love us.

Jesus calls us to something deeper.

There may be people who have genuinely wounded you. Forgiveness doesn't pretend the wound wasn't real, and love doesn't mean pretending destructive behavior is okay.

But Jesus doesn't allow hatred to have the final word.

As we experience God's love and surrender to the Holy Spirit, He can change what seems impossible to change in us.

Today, ask Him:

“Is there anyone I've given myself permission not to love?”

Jesus was asked to name the greatest commandment.

His answer connected two things we often try to separate:

❤️ Love God with everything.
❤️ Love your neighbor as yourself.

Our love for God isn't demonstrated only by worship songs, Bible reading, prayer, or what we believe.

It's also demonstrated by the way we treat people.

Even difficult people.
Even people who disagree with us.
Even people who have disappointed us.

Jesus is forming us into people who love because He first loved us.

📖 Matthew 22:35–40
📖 1 John 4:19–21

What would it look like for the love of Jesus to overflow through you today?
