In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus introduces us to the values and character of people who belong to the Kingdom of Heaven. This isn’t just a list of rules to follow or behaviors to imitate—it’s a picture of the kind of people Jesus is transforming us into. Kingdom people live differently because they belong to a different Kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we are called out of the world’s way of living and into God’s new way of life.

We started our summer series this past weekend! Give the first sermon a listen on our website! https://smithfieldchristian.com/message/of-a-different-kingdom/

What if Jesus’ most famous sermon wasn’t just meant to be admired… but actually lived?

This summer at Smithfield Christian Church, we’re walking through the Sermon on the Mount—the teachings of Jesus that challenge the way we think, live, love, pray, worry, forgive, and follow Him.

Real faith. Real life. Real transformation.

Join us this summer as we discover what it truly means to live Jesus' way in a world pulling us in every other direction.

Sundays at 9am & 11am

"Jesus doesn't define us by our sin"
Your worst moment is not your identity.
So many people walk through life carrying labels from mistakes, failures, shame, or seasons they wish they could erase. But in John 8, Jesus reminds us that while He absolutely calls us out of sin, He refuses to define us by it. Grace tells us our story is not over yet.

Have you ever wished you could escape the thing you regret most? Maybe it was a failure, a secret, a season of rebellion, or a moment that still follows you years later. One of the greatest lies we believe is that our worst moment has the final say over our identity. But Jesus refuses to define us by our worst moment—and He also refuses to leave us trapped in our old life. A second chance from Jesus is not just forgiveness for your past; it is an invitation into a completely different future.

If you weren't able to be with us for the final week of our series, The God of the Second Chance, be sure to catch up on our sermon page: https://smithfieldchristian.com/watch/

Jonah’s story reminds us that even when we run from God, fail miserably, or lose sight of our purpose, God continues to pursue us with grace and patience. He listens when we cry out, restores us when we return, and keeps calling us toward the life He created us to live. Your failures may interrupt your journey, but they do not cancel God’s purpose for your life.
