Praying Amidst Grief
An Evening with Guest Speaker Father James Mason

This gentle, prayerful evening offers hope and encouragement for those navigating the journey of grief. Father James Mason will share reflections on finding Jesus in the midst of loss, along with practical guidance for praying during life's darkest moments.

The evening will also include time for quiet, prayerful reflection accompanied by live piano music.

Grieving the recent or past loss of a loved one? The Lourdes Center invites you to join us for our next programming event: Praying Amidst Grief — An evening with guest speaker Father James Mason

This gentle, prayerful evening will offer reflections on how to find Jesus in grief and practical guidance for praying in the darkest moments. There will be time for silent, prayerful reflection accompanied by live piano.

Camp Sydney’s 2026 grief camp was a tremendous success, welcoming 10 families for a weekend filled with healing, connection, and hope. Throughout the experience, we witnessed countless graces as participants formed new friendships, shared meaningful interactions, and found comfort in community, creating lasting memories and renewed strength for the journey ahead. Many thanks to all our donors, volunteers, Aluminum Chef, and Broom Tree Youth and Family Camp for making this all possible.

This week we gathered with Bishop DeGrood and friends of The Lourdes Center to bless the foundation of our future site! By the grace of God we have raised $1.3 million toward our goal of $1.5 and are now inviting the community to help us finish it! We honored the incredible crew serving this mission of healing, our amazing benefactors, the Building Hope Campaign Committee, our partner with Fiegen Construction and our friends who are praying us through this momentous moment in our history. Healing is possible, friends. And we can’t wait for it to happen here!
