God's grace is a free gift, without any strings. But like any
gift, it must be received. John wrote in his gospel, "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). You can experience God's grace in your life by doing the following:

• Repent and confess your sins to God.
• Believe Christ died to save you.
• Receive God's gift by faith.

People are anxious. Are you anxious with expectation or worry? There will always be something to worry about. Jesus repeatedly told his disciples that they did not need to worry. God has been, is, and always will be in control. That is the truth. He is truth.

False information, false fear, and false doctrine weaken faith. The people of God need to live strong. We need to live confidently in the truth of God's Word. We must live with the assurance of God's salvation.

We live amid lawlessness. The lawless one will one day be revealed, but until it is time, God and his church will march forward with victory.

Then, when the time has come, God will handle that too. God will overthrow and destroy him. Do not live in anxiety. Live in faith. Let your faith hold to the truth even when lawlessness abounds. Page 81 Wesley Adult Bible Study - The Hope of Holiness: Paul’s Letters to the Thessalonians 🌼

As followers of Christ, believers are called to live holy lives. They must make every effort to rid themselves of various habits and behaviors that are out of sync with godliness, and instead find out what places is the Lord. Once our lives are exposed to the light of God‘s holiness, cleansing for sin as possible. But the power to live a holy life comes not from within ourselves, but from the filling of God‘s spirit. Our church was honored to have Mr. Cody Hawkins lead our service today. Cody grew up in our church and has a heart for the Lord and for our community. He encouraged us to make true, meaningful connections with the people around us. He quoted our dear friend, Pastor Doug: “Go out into the world and give people the love of Christ like only you can.”

His mom, grandma, and family watched with full hearts as Cody wrapped up our Mother’s Day service with a special prayer:

“Gracious and loving God, on this day, we give thanks for the gift of motherhood and for all those who have shown us a mother’s love. We honor all the women in our lives who have nurtured, encouraged, and prayed us forward in life. We thank You for the women who have shaped our faith, comforted us with care, and taught us by their example…” 🙏

Our Spring Rummage Sale was a great success! So many people look forward to this event each year and we look forward to seeing them too! We feel truly blessed to be able to provide affordable items for everyone in our community.

We thank God for the opportunity to serve and for the fellowship shared throughout the sale. Thank you to everyone who donated, sorted, priced, and organized—it truly wouldn’t be possible without you. Your kindness and generosity are such a blessing!
