Perspectives from the Pastor
It’s been just over a year I said my final goodbye to my dad. With his birthday just a few days ago and Father’s Day almost here..... I began to reflect about “my” dad.
He was’nt perfect by no means, but he did teach me about manhood and instilled in me a work ethic that has gotten me to my 59 yrs of age.
Looking back I never needed anything.. always had food, plenty of it. A good safe home, clothes to wear.
I may have wanted for a lot of things... but my dad saw to it, I never needed anything.
We never realize how much something means till it’s gone... if you still have your father around, spend every free minute you can with him... a time will come when you can’t.
My time will come when I can sit with mine again... until then I am grateful for the father I had.
To all dads... who sacrifice for their families...Godbless you!!!!
