Years after 9/11, our most recent survey data still indicates persisting concerns among Americans and some Muslim Americans on Islam’s view of important issues such as free speech, human rights, and caliphate. To remedy these concerns and risks, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA is initiating a public awareness program dubbed the True Islam Campaign (the “Campaign”). This Campaign educates Americ

ans and Muslim Americans on Islam’s view of eleven major points of contention, listed below, as taught by Prophet Muhammad. This effort will provide all Americans a clear way to distinguish true Islam from extremism and to unify Muslim Americans on the correct understanding of Islam that Prophet Muhammad taught. The Campaign strengthens America’s national security against extremism.

Today, gunmen attacked worshippers during Friday prayers at the Baitul Mahdi Mosque in Rabwah, Pakistan, the headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community there. Six worshippers were wounded before guards killed one of the attackers while the other two fled.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA is deeply concerned and prays for the full recovery of those injured. We call on Pakistani authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice and urge the government to end the daily, state-sanctioned persecution Ahmadi Muslims face simply for practicing their faith.

Every citizen deserves the right to worship freely.

Russell M. Nelson, the oldest-ever president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has died at the age of 101.
