Our 1st-4th class wrapped up our investigation of the fruits of the spirit tonight with a series of self control/self discipline based challenges.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
The Need for Self-Discipline

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Make plans to join us for VBS 2026, as we illuminate who Jesus is this year at Silver Point Baptist Church. We have classes for all ages, even adults, and will have supper nightly Monday June 8th - Thursday June 11th. Then on Friday, June 12th join us for family night as we illuminate all we’ve learned about Jesus and enjoy supper and fun! Mark your calendars now!

It was a great night of fellowship tonight at Silver Point’s Ladies Night dinner and devotional at The Rose Garden Restaurant. Thank you to all the ladies who were able to make it. Special thanks to our very own Lisa Cash for bringing the devotional! God is good!
