Here are the verses and notes from Sunday's service...

Also, as you return to work today after the long weekend, make sure to ask someone to join you at church Sunday, September 20 - and if they can't that Sunday, they are welcome any week, so keep that in mind :)

Second reminder - that same Sunday evening, we are having a Worship Night in the Park from 5:30-7:30 - so put 2 little circles on your calendar for that day, it's going to be a great time!

Hey Journey! A few things:

1. We're 2 weeks out from our Bring-a-Friend Sunday.
So start asking some friends now and let's pack this place September 20!

2. September 20 is also our worship in the Park night. From 530-730 that evening we'll be eating, fellowshipping, and worshipping in the park across the street. It's going to be amazing so mark your calendars!

3. As our sweet little friend said, we can't wait to see y'all this morning at 10am and 11:15!

A little reminder - if you're getting up and hitting the grocery Saturday morning, go ahead and pick up some candy and bring it with you to church on Sunday.

If you simply can't decide what to get, we're looking for
the following - ring pops, airheads, skittles, and fun dip - they are small, sweet, and free of allergies.

One of the hardest questions I’ve ever been asked was this:

“What is it like to be on the other side of you?”

That one will make you stop for a minute.

We spend a lot of time thinking about how other people react to us. We can be pretty quick to say, “Man, they really overreacted.”

But sometimes we need to stop and ask, “Did I play a part in that?”

That doesn’t mean we’re responsible for everything somebody else does. We don’t know what people are carrying. We don’t know what happened before they walked into the room. Sometimes their reaction has very little to do with us.

But we are responsible for our words.
Our actions.
Our attitude.
And the influence we have on the people around us.

And honestly, sometimes it’s not the big things that cause the most damage. It’s the little things. The comments. The jokes. The small slights that pile up over time.

The same is true on the positive side, too.

A kind word matters.
Serving someone matters.
Encouraging someone matters.
The people we allow to influence us matter.

There’s always motion. There’s always cause and effect.

So maybe it’s worth asking yourself today:

What is it like to be on the other side of me?

We talked more about this following Sunday's message, and I think it’s a conversation all of us could probably use.
