Imagine you’re at an airfield for a skydiving adventure, and you meet your tandem instructor who says, "Don’t worry. I am a master of skydiving. I’ve read every book on the subject. I have a PhD in physics. I can explain exactly how gravity, drag, and air resistance work. If you strap yourself to me and jump, I promise you will land safely."

Now, you might be impressed by his knowledge and appreciate his confidence. But before you climb into that plane and jump with this instructor, there is something you want to know: What evidence can he provide you that proves he can be trusted to land you safely to the ground? Does he have a track record to back up the talk?

Jesus said in John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." Why should you trust what Jesus says about having life after death? Why should you anchor your heart in the hope of Jesus?

Hope you can join us tomorrow morning (5/31) as we dive into John 11:28-44! We’ll look at the powerful, practical proof that Jesus can be trusted for life after death! See you there! -Mark

Have you ever cancelled, rescheduled or simply avoided an appointment? Did you know there is one appointment on every person's calendar that cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or avoided? The Bible tells us that people are appointed once to die (Hebrews 9:27). Are you a child of God? Since Jesus is our resurrection and life, we don’t have to face death with uncertainty – we can face it with hope! Are you anchored in that hope? Or are you anchored in a hope that is dead from a thousand qualifications? Do you believe that eternal life starts the instant you believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God?

Perhaps you can join us tomorrow (5/24) and together we can listen in to the powerful assurance and comfort Jesus provides to Martha in wake of Lazarus' death in John 11:17-27. Hope to see you there! -Mark

Some of the most painful words in life are the words “too late.” Too late to fix it. Too late to say what we should have said. Too late to save the relationship. Too late to change the diagnosis. Too late to stop the damage. Too late to keep the job. And when we hear “too late,” what we usually mean is this: human hope has run out. But what if our "too late" is exactly where God wants us to be? Some of God's greatest works begin in places where all human hope has run out!

Hope you can join us tomorrow morning (5/17) as we spend time in the opening scene (John 11:1-16) of one of the Gospels’ most well-known stories—the raising of Lazarus from the dead. The miracle of resurrection doesn’t start at Lazarus’ tomb; it starts when Jesus doesn’t respond the way others hoped He would -Mark

When faced with Jesus’ self-revelation expressed through his works and his words, the Pharisees reacted with murderous intent, attempting to stone Jesus for blasphemy, while many others believed in him. Are there teachings of Jesus you're trying to stone in the Gospel of John or do you believe what he says?

Join us tomorrow morning (5/10) as we take a look at John 10:31-42: Stones in Our Hands or Belief from the Heart? Hope to see then! -Mark

Do you have moments when the doubts are louder than the faith, when sin seems to be winning, when God feels distant, and when you wondered if you are in God's family even though you believe that Jesus is God's Son, the Messiah? Christ has a wonderful word for you in John 10:22–30. Join us tomorrow morning (5/3) as we listen to the reassuring voice of the Good Shepherd. -Mark

The blind seeing and the seeing blind! How are you responding to the light we have in the Gospel of John? Are you blinded to it, or is it guiding your steps and shaping your thinking? It is possible to read the Gospel of John and respond like a Pharisee - blinded to the light by tradition (John 9:13-34)! I would love for you to join us this Sunday (4/19) as we explore the varied responses to Jesus’ healing of a man blind from birth in John 9:8–41. Hope to see you there! -Mark

I once heard a TV commercial boldly announce, ‘Life offers no guarantees!’—a striking message coming from an insurance company. I wonder if that includes their policies? We crave guarantees. We want to know that the things we are counting on are actually going to be there. Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up each day to at least one thing that is untouched by life’s uncertainties? Well, we can! If there is one thing that Easter teaches us it is this: When life offers no guarantees, Jesus does!

Join us tomorrow morning (4/5) as we explore three guarantees we have in Jesus! Hope to see you there. -Mark
