When we can’t explain things and can’t control things, remember it is part of the plan.

Keep the faith. Be grateful for agency. Trust that God can bless us with the strength to endure the consequences of others’ choices.

Sometimes the blessing is not that the trial is removed. Sometimes the blessing is that we are given the strength to endure it and learn from it.

As we approach the Easter season, our hearts turn to Jesus Christ, His example, His Atonement, and the hope that comes through His Resurrection. This sacred time invites us to pause and Remember Him, reflecting on the peace, forgiveness, and joy that come from His love.

We are excited for a special opportunity for our youth this weekend.

President Sean R. Dixon, Second Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency, will be visiting our area and speaking at a regional youth devotional for ages 11–18.

📍 Firth Stake Center
823 N 675 E, Basalt

All youth ages 11–18 are invited to attend. This will be a great opportunity to hear inspired counsel and gather with youth from across the coordinating council.

Please carpool if possible, as this will be a regional event.

Sunday dress please.

We hope every youth who can attend will make the effort to be there. It should be a meaningful afternoon.

There are also other events the same day for adult leadership and on Sunday for priesthood presidencies.

Day of Service**

The Area Presidency is inviting every ward and individual to participate in a Day of Service anytime between now and **March 13, 2026**.

**Elder Hiilam** and **Brother Sean Dixon**, Second Counselor in the General Young Men’s Presidency, will be visiting the area and holding several meetings with members and youth on **March 13–14**. Because of these meetings, those dates will not work for service projects. We encourage all service activities to be completed **before March 13**.

This effort is being organized in conjunction with the **Idaho Service Challenge — “Make Idaho History”**, with the goal of completing **250,000 acts of service** in celebration of America’s 250th Birthday.

We invite every individual and organization to participate, including:
* Elders Quorum
* Relief Society
* Young Men
* Young Women
* Primary
* Sunday School

The 2026 Shelley Stake Trek is officially underway.

We’re inviting all youth ages 14–18 (including those turning 14 in 2026), along with parents and YM/YW ward leaders, to our Kickoff Meeting.

🕓 4:00 p.m.
📍 Woodville Building

Trek is more than a campout. It’s preparation, testimony, teamwork, and growth. This meeting will outline expectations, answer questions, and help families understand what to expect as we prepare for an experience that can shape faith and friendships for years to come.

Please plan to attend. We look forward to starting this journey together.

Mark your calendar now for a special Easter celebration in Shelley.

On Thursday, April 2nd at 6:00 p.m., the Shelley Stake will gather at the Woodville Building (1555 N 700 E) for an evening focused on the Savior and the message of the empty tomb.

Easter has a way of re-centering us on what matters most—faith, family, and the hope that comes through Jesus Christ. With a month to plan, I hope you’ll set the date aside, invite someone to join you, and look forward to a meaningful night of music and messages.
