613 laws in the Bible and if we do not love, we break every one of them! Wait… what?! 😲🫨🤯
The Bible contains hundreds of laws and commandments. But in Romans 13, Paul gives us a radically simple way of understanding them all, he says “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
And then he says: “Love is the fulfilling of the law.”
What if the Christian life is not about getting better at following rules? What if following Jesus means we get better at loving?
We can be right and still fail to love. We can know the Bible and still miss the point. We can follow rules and still have a heart that is asleep.
Paul says, “It is now the moment for you to wake from sleep.”
So this Sunday, we're talking about what it means to wake up, love our neighbors, and live in the light of Christ.
