You won't want to miss this fun faith-filled evening to celebrate the Feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus TOMORROW, June 12, starting at 6:00 PM!

The evening will be filled with:
🙏 Adoration
❤️‍🔥Devotion to the Sacred Heart
📿Rosary
🪏Turning of the dirt by Fr. Zarse and Straub Construction
⛪Ground blessing where the NEW Adoration Chapel will be built.

We'll wrap up the evening with treats, fellowship, and live music from parishioners Mike Book and Chris Morrissey – all you need to bring is a lawn chair!

With FIFA coming to Kansas City soon, we know there will be an increased need for support and outreach in our community. Join us as we partner with Food with Friends KC to help provide meals for those experiencing homelessness in the Kansas City area.

Schedule:

⛪6:00 p.m. Daily Mass
🍽6:35 p.m. Dinner
🍞7:00 p.m. Service Project
👕7:45-9:00 p.m. Tie-dye & hang out

We’ll provide all the tie-dye supplies—just bring any shirts or other items you’d like to tie-dye.

📢 We are looking for caring, faith-filled adults to serve as small group leaders/mentors for our Middle School and High School Youth Ministry programs during the 2026–27 school year!

Small group leaders help build relationships with students, lead discussions, encourage faith growth, and simply show up consistently for teens each week.

The time commitment is approximately 2 hours per week on either Wednesdays or Sundays. No theology degree or previous experience is required—just a willingness to walk alongside young people in their faith journey.

This week in his podcast, Fr. Zarse sits down with our summer seminarian, Landry Weber, for a conversation about the journey that led him to the seminary.

A former wide receiver at Kansas State, Landry shares how God worked through football, his family, a Newman center, and prayer to reveal a call to the priesthood. In a remarkable act of trust, Landry discerned entering seminary even when it meant stepping away from the opportunity to win a Big 12 Championship with the Wildcats.

Now, with ordination about three years away, God-willing, Landry reflects on seminary formation, discernment, and the joy of following where the Lord leads. Tune in to get to know Landry and hear the story of how God called him from the football field to preparation for the priesthood.
