Looking for a place where you've always, truly belonged?

We’ve crossed the theological bridge from Jesus beside us (Ascension) to the Spirit within us (Pentecost). Now, we realize we've been "born again" into a family that has existed for eternity. You are God's beloved, and you are never alone in the dance.

Daily Affirmation: "I belong to a family that existed before time began, and there are no exceptions to my welcome."

Join us for the series conclusion of The God Who Stays this Sunday at 10:00 AM.

If the Holy Spirit is a "holy disturbance" that tears down walls, what are we building in their place?

The Spirit moves us to build bridges in our neighborhood. This week, we practice "Trinitarian Love"—the same relational energy that binds the Father, Son, and Spirit. When we draw near to one another’s struggles, we are literally joining the movement of God.

Daily Affirmation: "My hospitality toward my neighbors is my participation in God’s hospitality toward me."

Call to Action: This week, identify one person in your community to intentionally build a deeper connection with.

What if God isn't a "lonely monarch" sitting on a distant throne?

Trinity Sunday moves us past the idea of God as a distant history lesson. We are shifting from being observers "looking at the clouds" to being participants in a relationship that has existed since before time. God is not an institution; God is a Divine Dance, and you have a permanent seat at the table.

Daily Affirmation: "I am not an observer of the Divine; I am an active participant in God's relational flow."

Join us Sunday at 10:00 AM | 5340 Martindale Road | Shawnee, KS.

Did you know the Spirit speaks your "heart language" - the language of instinct, tears, and love?

Last week, we learned that the Spirit affirms our true identity without requiring "Christianese" or religious shortcuts. This Sunday, we discover that your unpolished story is exactly the "language" God uses to invite you into the relational flow of the Trinity.

Daily Affirmation: "I don't need religious words to belong; I am already a participant in the Divine Dance exactly as I am."

We are a "nesting and resting place" where your unpolished story is valued—no walls, no exceptions.

God's Spirit isn't locked inside a building - it's moving wherever neighbors are pulling down dividing walls, practicing true friendship, and imagining a safer, more loving world together.

Remember the "spoiler alert" from Week 1? Jesus physically prayed for you.

We began this series realizing that we are covered in a prayer with our own names on it. Now, we see the purpose of that prayer: it wasn't just to keep us safe while Jesus was "away," but to invite us into the Divine Dance - the eternal relationship of the Father, Son, and Spirit.

Daily Affirmation: "I am not just someone Jesus prayed for; I am someone God is inviting into a living, eternal conversation."

Join our Open and Affirming family this Sunday at 10:00 AM as we step into the dance.

Pentecost wasn't just about sharing quick data; it was about God speaking to immigrants and outsiders in their native heart language - the language of instinct, tears, and love. You belong exactly as you are.

For many neighbors, religious language feels heavy or manipulative due to institutional harm. At Shawnee Community Christian Church, we're practicing a different way - listening first and making room for your unpolished story.
