We don’t normally do birthday shout-outs.. but today we wanted to wish Vilda a happy birthday! Vilda rides her wheelchair to Church every single Sunday whether it is raining or the sun is shining. She is one of the first people that came to our church when we started services and has been faithful each and every Sunday. Vilda is a strong woman who loves her family and God! We love you Vilda and we are honored you chose New Creation as your place of worship! Happy birthday to you! 🎊🎈🎁🎂

The world puts a tremendous amount of pressure on us; we are under continuous stress to meet the world’s standards of perfection in our life. Let’s face it, we all feel like we fail at life on occasion.

On those days, it’s ok to put the world on pause. Stress and problems will keep. Close your eyes, let out a sigh, reach for that “cookie” and take a YOU moment.

God created you to be happy, not stressed and fearful. Yet, the pressures of life take away our joy. We can find joy in the spiritual realm, knowing we have a loving Father who loves us! It’s a wonderful feeling!

However, it’s also important to find joy in the physical realm as well; God created your body to need joy and laughter to survive. Let’s face it, we all need a cookie sometimes! 🍪

Regardless of our opinions, regardless of our feelings, we are called to be a light to the world. Jesus teaches us difficult truths that are contrary to our human nature..but nevertheless, they are truths we are expected to live by. When we justify these truths and adopt worldly principles, we essentially have voided God’s word in our life. The church must be very cautious to not follow a religious culture more than the word of God. Jesus says in Matthew 5:20 - That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

When you love someone, you don’t just speak it you show it. Loving our savior is no different.
When you love Jesus… it truly shows!

After breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Master, you know I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”
He then asked a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
“Yes, Master, you know I love you.”
Jesus said, “Shepherd my sheep.”

Peter was upset that he asked for the third time, “Do you love me?” so he answered, “Master, you know everything there is to know. You’ve got to know that I love you.”
