Teach your children to have a forgiving attitude rather than a bitter and angry attitude.

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you along with malice...teach your children to give those up.

Teach your children to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ has forgiven you.

You want to teach them Gospel attitudes.

That the grace of God, leads you to have a kind, compassionate, tender heart that's going to be graciously forgiving others.

You want to teach them to have an attitude of gratitude - to be thankful, not to complain, not to grumble.

As your children are growing up, you want to correct them when they complain about situations.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: Give thanks in all circumstance, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you...

You want to understand the will of the Lord...teach your children to be thankful.

Teach your children to forsake sinful attitudes and embrace Godly attitudes.

Scripture repeatedly addresses the attitudes that believers are to have...so much of how we respond to life is dictated by the attitudes we have.

The attitude matters. We need to pay careful attention to the attitude of our children. We should correct and instruct right attitudes.

The attitude is going to get at the heart of the issue.

The first thing parent should communicate and regularly tell their children...

Tell them the good news and how to respond to the good news.

How are they to respond to Christ that they may respond with faith and repentance.

Repentance is to run from sin and run to Jesus, placing all their hope and confidence in salvation in Him.

Trusting who He is and what He has done...Christ is enough.

09/02/2026

Your child needs to understand at the earliest of ages how they come into the world...that they fall short of God's glory.

You're communicating to them their most fundamental need which is to be reconciled to God.

That is what they need above all else. That the wages of sin is death and even now they are dead are children of wrath and that they have no hope of meriting God's favor in of themselves.

They need to be redeemed. You want to get to the good news and tell them of the glory and majesty of Christ.

Communicating of the sinless son of God, how He has come of heaven, how He has come as a man and fulfilled all the requirements of the law perfectly and came to die as an offering for our sins.

That on the cross He was making atonement for the transgressor - the righteous suffering for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God.

Do not be discouraged in having to instruct on the same thing.

Discipline requires endurance as God establishes the work of your hand.

It eventually has a transforming and it changes the child and redirects them.

08/28/2026

Wise parents, God fearing parents, Christ oriented parents, do not neglect discipline.

08/26/2026

Discipline is designed to lead to sincere heart change.

It opens the eyes of a child to the folly of unrighteousness but it also directs them towards the right course.

To discipline a child is to persevere their life because unrighteous living often results in destruction.
