As we begin our journey through the book of Acts, we are reminded that the mission of the church has never changed: Go. Jesus commissioned His followers to be His witnesses, beginning where they were and reaching to the ends of the earth. As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:20–21, we are “ambassadors for Christ,” entrusted with the message of reconciliation because Christ took our sin upon Himself so that we could become righteous before God. The disciples were ordinary people who had been changed by Jesus and sent to share what they had seen and experienced and the same is true for us. Wherever God has placed us, we have the privilege and responsibility of representing Jesus. We have been reconciled, we have been commissioned, and we have been sent. Go!

We’re launching Pastor's Desk, a new space on our website for stories, encouragement, devotionals, and practical resources to help us follow Jesus throughout the week.

Our hope is simple: that what God is doing in our church on Sundays would continue shaping us Monday through Saturday.

August was a good one for Rooted Students.

Wednesday nights were full of games, worship, teaching, conversations, and plenty of time together. And then we wrapped up the month with Students Unlocked, a day filled with fun, community, and an even deeper desire to know Jesus.

We’re thankful for every student who showed up, brought a friend, served, laughed, worshiped, and leaned in.

August may be over, but we’re just getting started.

This is our first video recap of a Students Unlocked event. This time we were in Lakeland, FL at Geneva Classical Academy. Over 100 in attendance with 8 different churches represented.

Special thanks to Pastor Mario Villella who spoke powerfully about the Gospel's impact in his life and the way we we should share Christ with others.

Students Unlocked is a one-day Jesus centered youth conference for students in 6th-12th grade that happens each three times a year. Each fall, winter and spring we gather from youth ministries across the state of Florida to celebrate the goodness of Jesus who died and rose for us, and set us free. We are Students Unlocked!
