What a difference you continue to make great job Rose👏🏾

Meet Yvrose Charles, Mental Health Therapist at the Children’s Advocacy Center!

For the past year, Yvrose has been helping children and families heal from trauma using specialized treatment called Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). She says the best part of her job is seeing the growth that happens from the first session to the fifteenth watching families find hope and healing together. “Every day I learn something new, and that growth inspires me to continue this work.”

Before joining the CAC, Yvrose worked 12 years at the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office, starting as a detention support officer and later serving in the business and finance division. Her drive to help people has always been at the heart of her career.

Outside of work, Yvrose loves to travel her motto is “To travel is to live” and she’s up for just about any adventure, from ziplining to skydiving. She’s also a big fan of gospel and Christian music, cheering for the Miami Heat, Buccaneers, FSU, and especially Lake Placid’s Green Dragons, where she proudly coaches.

Her faith and Haitian heritage are major sources of strength, shaped by the hard work of her immigrant parents. Yvrose says her culture and faith have taught her resilience, and she carries that into the lives of the families she serves every day.

We are proud to celebrate Yvrose for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping others heal.
