He concluded the series entitled Uncommon Sense, focusing on Matthew 5:33-48, Be Perfect. He asked us the thought-provoking question, what do you do when you lose your confidence/trust in others and/or institutors? Who do you turn to and who has the trusted answers?

💡The Word of God

Pastor Johusa continued preaching from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Uncommon Sense). Today he looked at Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:10-20. To a gathering of people composed of a mixture of devoted Jewish followers, skeptics and those in between, much like us today, Jesus explains how to be right with God. Was it following a list of rules, being a good person, helping others, etc? His answer was the Word of God. Joshus answered three questions about God’s Word: its power, its point and its purpose.

💡Salt & Light

Pastor Johusa continued preaching from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Jesus started his Sermon with the Beatitudes where he revealed what a Christian is and now explains what a Christian does. Matthew 5:13-16 detailed how Jesus calls us to live applying Uncommon Sense as we become Salt and Light.
