You’re invited to join us for our Summer in the Psalms Potluck & Hymn Sing happening on June 17th at 6pm at Grace Church Monterey Bay. Bring a dish to share, and come ready to be refreshed through fellowship, time in God's Word, and singing Christ-exalting hymns.

We host our Summer in the Psalms events EVERY OTHER Wednesday. On non-potluck nights, adults gather in the Worship Center for fellowship and Bible Study, and kids gather in the courtyard for . We hope you'll join us this summer as we seek to glorify God by magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ, ministering to His church, and multiplying His disciples.

When Jesus says that His disciples must carry their cross, He’s not saying that you need to endure difficult circumstances. He’s saying that you need to die to yourself. You must surrender ownership of your life, and follow Jesus even when obedience is costly. This is more important thank your comfort and your reputation. You must be willing to give up all, even your own life.

The cross exposed the guilt of Jerusalem, the cowardice of Pilate, the cruelty of Rome, the hatred of all the religious leaders, but also the guilt of every single one of us because it was our sin that put Him on the cross. We can judge Jerusalem but it is only the grace of God that tore down our hard hearts and allowed us to believe.

Are you proclaiming Jesus as Lord on the outside or the inside? It’s not a matter of casual acquaintance, but rather a matter of personal relationship. Being near to Jesus externally is not the same thing as knowing Jesus savingly.

What a kindness, mercy, and grace to show us our sin, our waywardness that has separated us from Him. It’s only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can draw near to God when we were his enemies in sinning against Him. When you turn back to God from any sin, God is near and close to you because He sees you covered in the righteousness of Christ.
