The rich young ruler clung to his temporary possessions, but Jesus, with all the rights and privileges, willingly laid them down for us in order to rescue sinners who had absolutely nothing. What this young man was unwilling to do in a small creatively way, Jesus, the Son of God, did in an infinitely greater way.

The kingdom of God is a gift that is received with child-like faith. If you want the kingdom of God, then all you come with is empty hands. You come with your sin and your need for forgiveness. And you plead for God to propitiate and provide that for you through His son.

The scribes opposed Jesus, not because they had PhDs, but because they refused to believe. Repent, today is the day of salvation. Believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Only the Lord Jesus demonstrated his power over death. He has the power to make alive! Whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life!

He also participated in an Eccesilogy Q&A with Pastor Dom. We are thankful for Pastor Mark’s ministry to Grace Church Monterey Bay and other local churches in the area.

When it comes to missions, do they have a church in that language? What’s the health of that church? Not all churches are equally healthy. Paul sees the metric of the Great Commission as churches planted. He saw where he had planted church and then pressed on to where no church exists.
