Friday Faith

Don’t let the distractions of life take you away from the grace of God. Life is better in his presence. Stay close to God and he will stay close to you!!

Wednesday Words

Failure doesn’t have to be final. We all will fail or fall at some time in our life. But here’s a good word for those of us that have fallen and failed, God’s mercy is available. God is a merciful, loving, gracious and forgiving God. Get back up again by acknowledging your failures (John 1:9) and then by accepting God’s forgiveness. You might fall down but you don’t have to stay down.

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Friday Faith

God’s fills us with the Holy Spirit to empower us to do things we ordinarily couldn’t do. With the Spirit we can accomplish whatever he commands us to do. So when you are feeling weak, ask God for a refill of his Spirit.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Thursday Thoughts

The road to redemption begins with repentance and forgiveness. The process may be painful at times but the destination is a place of peace and restoration.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NLT‬

Wednesday Word

God empowers us to reach others. While the disciples were given the command to be Christ’s witnesses to the world, He also gave them power to ensure their success. God gives us the plan and He will also supply us with the power to carry out the plan. Ask God to give you the power to complete his assignments!!!

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Tuesday Thoughts

Never allow people to cause you to hate them so much that you forget you are a child of God.

““You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly.”

Friday Faith

While sitting in a graduation ceremony I’m reminded that this is a ceremony that celebrates completion. Then I was reminded that one day we all will have a final graduation day. One day God will decide that our work on earth is over and we will graduate from mortality to immortality. The good news is God ensures those that belong to Him meet the graduation requirements. All we must do is remain in the faith.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Wednesday Word

- There will be Children’s Church this Sunday.

Overcomer - person who successfully prevails, triumphs, or surmounts significant opposition, difficulties, or weaknesses

God uses our inadequacies to expose the weaknesses in our faith. God often calls us in the areas In which our inadequacies are highlighted. The question is will trust God even when you feel unqualified? Moses couldn’t speak well but God wanted to use him. Gideon felt small and insignificant but God called him a mighty warrior. Don’t allow your feelings trump your faith. Trust God in all things!!

“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Tuesday Thoughts

Faith is verb. You must put your faith into action. It means taking steps that you have never taken before or going without knowing the destination. It means conquering the fear that has kept you in bo***ge for years. It means standing up when your preference is to sit down or speaking up when you would rather stay quiet. Faith is about what God needs from you rather than you attempting to satisfy personal desires. Work your faith!!

“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
