Thanksgiving to God, by God’s grace:

1. Long-term families are still attending, would be a blessing if more returned.
2. The Lord has added new families to us via Transfer from Missouri Synod congregations and Profession of Faith from other fellowships, thankful for our clear confession of Christianity in the Lutheran Confessions, drawn from the Scriptures.
3. Lutheran Braille Workers PC #192 continues weekly operations, recently assigned the Gospel accounts of Luke and John.
4. We aren’t broke, financially speaking.
5. Had one of our largest Sunday gatherings since Covid nonsense yesterday. Add unique Sunday plus Wednesday attendances together, we’re about back to pre-Covid attendances. Christianity is more than showing up to Church, yet feeding on Jesus in Word and Sacrament is a defining part of it.

The Lord reigns. We give thanks for a full-time parish in Lackawanna County, PA.

Summer Sunday Divine Service Update:
With the summer heat upon us and with the sanctuary’s inability to cool off overnight before Sunday morning Divine Services, I will be conducting Divine Services on Sundays at our regular time of 10:15 a.m. in the climate-controlled Parish Hall. Once temperatures return to a reasonable interior temperature, we will return to the sanctuary for Divine Services (this typically happens in early September). Our Midweek Services of 12 noon and 7 p.m. on Wednesdays will continue to meet in the Parish Hall going forward. PZ
