Today, we celebrate Trinity Sunday—a day when the Church reflects on the mystery and beauty of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

📖 Primary Text: Matthew 28:16–20
📖 Old Testament Passage: Genesis 1:1–2, 4a
📖 Call to Worship: Psalm 50
🎤 Sermon Title: “Created and Commissioned”

From the opening words of Genesis to Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew, Scripture reminds us that we are created by God, formed in love, and sent into the world with purpose. The God who creates, redeems, and sustains us also calls us to participate in God’s work of grace in the world.

☀️👒 It’s also Seersucker Sunday!
Wear your seersucker, bright colors, florals, bow ties, summer hats, or your favorite sunny Sunday attire as we celebrate the beginning of the summer season together.

Let’s fill the sanctuary with joy and color!
We can’t wait to worship with you at 10:00 this morning in our beautiful sanctuary!
✨ Come worship.
🌿 Come celebrate.
☀️ Come dressed for summer joy.

Please be in prayer for the upcoming 2026 session of the North Alabama Conference of The United Methodist Church Annual Conference, gathering May 28–30 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham under the theme: “Leading on the E.D.G.E.”

United Methodists from across North Alabama will gather for worship, holy conferencing, leadership development, learning opportunities, prayer, discernment, ordination, and the shared work of ministry together.

This year’s theme focuses on four important areas of faithful ministry:

• Engaging Our Communities
• Developing Lay and Clergy Leaders
• Growing and Connecting Disciples
• Evaluating Possibilities and Measuring Realities

Throughout the conference, clergy and laity will worship together, celebrate God’s work across our connection, learn from one another, and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the future of the Church.

We ask our church family to be in prayer for Bishop L. Jonathan Holston, conference leadership, clergy, lay members, churches, and all who will participate in this important gathering. Pray for wisdom, unity, discernment, courage, and renewed vision as we continue the work of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
