West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists God put us here at this time, for this purpose!

We celebrate God’s past faithfulness, but believe West Virginia’s best days are ahead. It is time to pull together, expect great things of God, and attempt great things for God.

The 2026 WVCSB Annual Meeting is a week away and we’re looking forward to being together!

We’re gathering this year at Cross Lanes Baptist to worship, celebrate what God is doing, and be reminded that we have been sent together to make Jesus known in and through West Virginia.

The Annual Meeting isn’t just for pastors and their wives. It’s for every church member, ministry leader, student, volunteer, and believer who wants to see the light of the gospel shine brighter in and through our state.

Still need to register? Go to wvcsb.org/event/56

Register to join us for our WVCSB Annual Meeting, including Pastors' Conference and Pastors' Wives Gathering, at Cross Lanes Baptist, November 5-6, 2026.

Great day on Sunday with Pastor Tim Bleigh and the good folks at Calvary Baptist Church in Chapmanville. Honored to share from God’s Word and talk about how we’re partnering to make Jesus known in and through West Virginia.

Our Core Missionary Task is the “how” behind strengthening and sending churches to make Jesus known in and through West Virginia as we seek to be a city on these hills.

Today, we’re focusing on Evangelism—after building relationships, we boldly and confidently share the clear gospel with a call to respond.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Let’s take a moment to thank the pastors who pour so much of themselves into caring for others and making Jesus known in and through West Virginia.

Here are 3 easy ways to show your pastor some appreciation:

1. Encourage your pastor! Leave an encouraging comment below and tag your pastor.

2. Enter your pastor to win a giveaway! Click the link below and enter your pastor for a chance to win. It’s a simple way to show some extra love and appreciation this month!

3. Pray for your pastor and his family. Pastors and their families need prayer and encouragement, too. Let your pastor know you’re praying for him and his family. A simple message can be a powerful reminder that they’re loved and supported.

Let’s celebrate and encourage the pastors who faithfully serve our churches and communities across West Virginia!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting our Core Missionary Task—how we strengthen and send churches to make Jesus known in and through West Virginia as we seek to be a city on these hills.

Today, we’re focusing on Entry—intentionally building relationships and engaging with people in everyday spaces to share the hope of the gospel.

As a city on these hills, let us shine the light of the gospel so that Jesus is made known in and through West Virginia.

Across the WVCSB, God has placed churches in hills and hollers, towns, neighborhoods, and cities to shine the light of Christ. And that calling belongs to all of us.
