What if discomfort is exactly where God wants you? This week, Pastor Timmy reminded us that growth rarely comes from comfort — and that the same is true for the church as a whole. When we stop protecting our own ease and start making space for others, that is when God moves.

Drawing from the Old Testament, the message challenged us to stop doing what Israel's kings so often did — acknowledging God's design while quietly choosing our own way instead. Sound familiar? It should. We all do it.

Praise was also front and center. Praise is not just a feeling — it is a weapon. It is the shout that brings Jericho down. Whether you are on the mountain or in the valley, certain or doubting, there is always a reason to lift your voice.

We're moving services to the Scappoose Middle School starting Sunday, August 30.
