Today’s Bible verse helps us to understand how God wants us to worship Him! We must have a heart full of thanksgiving and praise to our Heavenly Father! Too often we feel as though we have to have a sober face and seldom show joy, exuberance, excitement and happiness as we think it shows a lack of reverence. While we must always remember God is Holy and we are His creation and only He deserves our worship, He delights in our happiness! Let’s praise Him today in expressions of gratitude!

Today’s Bible verse surrounds the story of Elijah’s servant going 7 times at his command to look for signs of rain and the 7th time he saw a small cloud about the size of a man’s hand. This story reminds me of our world today! We are thirsting for rain. This world provides no satisfaction! Jesus is the living Water! The Bible also tells us Jesus will come again with clouds and great glory! I also find it interesting that the chapter and verse in this scripture is 18:44.

Today’s Bible verse admonishes us not to make the same mistake the leaders in Jesus day did. As we build our house (form our character) make sure we are building on the only true Foundation which is Christ Jesus! All other foundations will crumble no matter how strong and secure they appear on the surface!

Today’s Bible verse points us to where our focus needs to be! Always look to Jesus! Do not compare yourself to others or use them and their actions to justify yourself or boost your pride. Satan is called the one who accuses the brethren. Look to Jesus and you will find yourself reflecting His love and righteousness!

Today’s Bible verse follows simple law. Who has your heart? Are you fully surrendered to Jesus? Is the Holy Spirit living within you, prompting your thoughts, words and actions? How we treat others from our closest loved one to the stranger we pass on the street, reflects who has our heart.

Today’s Bible verse thrills my heart knowing that Jesus, my Savior is God the Son! God has no beginning or ending and neither does His Son or His Spirit! We have an eternal living Savior who has conquered sin and death and is reaching out to you today dear friend, offering salvation through Him alone!
