THE “HASIDIC JEWS” AND THE CHABAD
I spent an hour researching Hasidic Judaism yesterday, and it is more cultic than I ever dreamed. I feel so sorry for the children in it, just like I feel sorry for kids in any cult. This study is riveting. I quite honestly found myself feeling sorry for all the deceived “Jews" (with the caveat that the Bible teaches that the "Jews are not Jews" without a heart circumcised to believe in Jesus).
Their main headquarters are the areas of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY, and Crown Heights, outside of NYC.
The “heavy yoke” of all the laws and rituals and religious rites and rules and prayers and talismans—much less the LOUD sirens going off throughout the town to alert everyone that “it is the Sabbath”—made me think of the Hebrew Roots cult…also, the way they stay away from the real world in isolation (for brainwashing the kids) and only deal, literally, with other Hasidic Jews… made me also so thankful for the opposite life I lead in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 16:15) to “go INTO the world,” to tell people about Jesus, not stay away from it out of fear.
But, it gets much more weird than that. The women wear wigs to “keep their heads covered” and also shave their heads, and the men get one outfit for their entire lives: black pants, black jacket, white shirt and a black hat. They also have to let their beards and side burns grow out as spiritual talismans.
These people are working at this day and night and night and day, as the poor kids have to say a different kind of prayer per food they eat! Yes, there is a prayer for a piece of fruit and then another for a vegetable and then another…all memorized and in both Hebrew and English.
Much time is spent reading but only the Torah mixed with “mystical teachings” of the Talmud and Kabbalah.
To say their God is the God of the Old Testament is not true. The God of the Old Testament is a triune God, from the first book of the Bible to the last.
It is very misogynistic, as the women are not seen as smart as the men to the point that the boys get taught the Talmud, the Kabbalah AND the Torah (all mixed up in light with darkness) and the girls get taught math, because only the men are supposed to know “God” to “lead the family,” and if you marry an abusive man or some pe*****le (like the man who infamously sexually abused his daughter in Israel with the adult daughter finally speaking out against it this year, only to get killed afterwards), you must stay with the abuser. Women have no rights. Divorce is not allowed and neither is birth control, which is why one family interviewed had 14 kids!
The marriages are all pretty much set up. Or, they go out (only with another Hasidic Jew, of course, living in your same neighborhood), and after as many as two dates decide to marry.
Also, they are not allowed to use the Internet. It is not “kosher,” so no smart phones. There use flip phones.
No wonder I saw “Gentile Gelato” on the Upper West Side, where I used to live. How condescending. No one was in the store, but the Halal food carts were all over the place, ALL owned by Hasidic Jews, along with much of the real estate in NYC.
There are many different kinds of Hasidic Jews. The bigger the hat, the more Polish they are, speaking Yiddish.
The little boys begin school at age 2 or 3 to learn Hebrew but all children ONLY go to the Hasidic schools throughout their lives. Like the Hebrew Roots kids are homeschooled, they want to keep control of them mentally and fearful of “the world” and its customs.
From the prayer shawls to all the talismans, I get tired just thinking about it!
Oh, and the wigs the women have to wear cost anywhere from 1600 to 6,000 dollars. They also practice Kabbalah “intimacy” and have all these strange rules about “being one.”
And, everything they eat has to be kosher. They have two ovens, two refrigerators, two sinks, two of everything in the kitchen so as not to mix the meats with the dairy.
Why in the world would a Christian want to leave Jesus and the freedom He gives to go into all of that in the Hebrew Roots Kabbalah cult? Well, it all comes with a whole lot of self-righteousness mixed in.
They can make money off of the “goyims” but even the gelato places must remain separate.
And, they all worship and pray to this guy, the dead “Rebbe.” There are stickers of “the dead rebbe” all over NYC.
Now I know why they would never even look my way on the sidewalk.
It is interesting that they live in and around NYC, yet want to have nothing to do it with it, only communicating and working with other Hasidic Jews “just like them.”
Many proudly display a photo of Netanyahu with the dead “Rebbe” in their homes, all so thankful for what the dead “Rebbe” taught them about Kabbalah.
Also, I found out, the main reason many are against the Zionism of never ending wars is that their eschatology calls for bringing heaven to earth through peace—all Kabbalah. Madonna would fit right in, except she would never agree to dress like the poor women who are never allowed to wear pants and must have their collar bone covered, their elbows covered and knees covered and head covered (in either a scarf for the most religious or a wig for the more secular Hasidic women) wearing their “modest” dresses every single day of their lives.
When it is the dead “Rebbe’s” birthday, all the men are allowed to dance and drink and the poor women must “stay separate” but can watch their husbands and teenage sons get drunk from the top floor of “the synagogue” while the men are dancing drunk on the bottom floor.
They strangely call this dead “Rebbe” the Messiah, but he died! He never brought peace to the earth! However, Trump has been pictured, surrounded by them, with his little prayer written on his little white piece of paper to the dead rebbe, before throwing it into the Kabbalah pool of other white cards with prayers to him.
They also own most of the “Diamond District” in NYC.
They shop at stores that literally only carry the “required” dresses for women as the only thing to buy in the case of the poor wife wanting a shopping spree, OR the men’s stores that carry entire walls filled with white shirts and racks of only black pants and black blazers and black hats.
I have never been more thankful for Jesus, as I research Hasidic Judaism. Attached are photos I took while walking around NYC about two weeks ago.
