Ligonier Ministries We aim to equip you for the Christian life with clear, faithful Bible teaching. Founder, R.C. Sproul.
(1703)

Ligonier Ministries is the teaching fellowship, founded by Dr. R.C. Sproul in 1971, whose vision is to proclaim, teach, and defend the holiness of God in all its fullness. We want to help people everywhere know who God is so that they may know what they believe, why they believe it, how to live it, and how to share it.

“You are required to believe, to preach, and to teach what the Bible says is true, not what you want the Bible to say is true.”

R.C. Sproul wrote this note to himself as a student and kept it on his desk as a constant reminder of his calling before God.

With today marking 61 years since his ordination to gospel ministry, we thank the Lord for blessing our founder’s resolve to proclaim Scripture accurately and clearly.

May God grant each one of us to be steadfast in His service, knowing that our labors in the Lord are not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58).

Loneliness is one of the painful effects of living in a fallen world.

Read this article by Karrie Hahn to discover how Scripture calls us to bring our loneliness to God, resist the temptations it can bring, and rest in the hope that Christ has secured an end to loneliness forever.

Explore a biblical perspective on loneliness, its roots in the fall, its role in suffering, and how it drives believers to find refuge and hope in Christ.

If God did not ordain all things, He would not be sovereign over all things. And if He is not sovereign over all things, then He is not God at all. —R.C. Sproul

The Bible affirms that God is completely sovereign and ordains all things. How can we reconcile divine sovereignty with human responsibility? Learn more in this excerpt from R.C. Sproul's book, God's Purpose in Suffering.
