In Matthew 22, religious leaders tried to trap Jesus with either-or questions about taxes and resurrection. But Jesus refused to fit inside their boxes. His answers pointed to something greater — a kingdom that transcends our categories, our politics, our fears, and even our understanding of life after death.

The truth is, we do the same thing. We reduce complex realities to two sides and demand a simple answer. Jesus invites us into something bigger — a relationship with a God who holds heaven and earth together and sees far more than we do.

Our best convictions and struggles are still too small for a king like that. Come wrestle with us as we continue through the Gospel of Matthew.
