How to talk to people who have very different views

In challenging times when others may have very different views on important matters, we often default to trying to change another person’s point of view or taking a side instead of a position on an issue.. Join us to explore what Christ teaches us and how we are called to respond.

Lisa Olson and Pauline Jarakian, both licensed therapists, will provide reflection points and active listening skills for navigating difficult conversations.

Come to discover and learn more about:
• How to bring our best selves to the conversation
• Active and Reflective Listening
• What is God calling us to do?
• Scriptures to inform us what God’s direction is, what is God telling us to do in this climate?
• What is Emotional Regulation and how to tap into it at the table.
• Gather ideas, perspectives, tools and resources
