Saint Dominic, priest: as a canon of Osma, he exercised the ministry of preaching with humility in the regions unsettled by the Albigensian heresy. He lived in a voluntary state of absolute poverty, speaking always with God or of God. Desirous of a new way of proclaiming the Faith, he founded the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), to renew in the Church the apostolic life, commanding his brethren to serve their neighbors in prayer, study, and the ministry of the word. He died at Bologna on the sixth of August.

Happy Father’s Day!
Today we give thanks to God for all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and spiritual fathers who faithfully reflect the love, strength, and guidance of our Heavenly Father.

Through their sacrifices, prayers, and example of faith, fathers help build strong families and lead hearts closer to Christ. May St. Joseph, protector of the Holy Family, inspire all fathers to live with courage, humility, and unwavering trust in God.

Let us pray for all fathers those with us today, those who have gone before us. May God bless every father with wisdom, peace, and abundant grace.
