Since January, we've facilitated monthly panel interviews with various groups of folks in our church, asking them about their work and how their faith intersects with their vocations. Our community contains such a wide range of workers – so far, we've heard from hosts, visualists, healers, placemakers, and listeners.

Inspired by these work conversations, we're now in a sermon series called "The Story of Work," exploring vocation through the lens of Scripture. Join us this Sunday for our gathering at New Traditions School at 10 am. There's a parking lot, activities for kids & youth, and coffee & treats! Find more details at the link in our bio.

This Sunday, we’ll begin a new sermon series on faith and work called "The Story of Work," moving through the stages of Scripture with creation, fall, redemption, and glory. Since January, we’ve been interviewing folks from various vocations every fourth Sunday – so this sermon series will complement those panel interviews.

Consider inviting a friend or co-worker to join us for "The Story of Work" series this summer! We'll be gathering at New Traditions School at 10 am. There's a parking lot, activities for kids & youth, and coffee & treats! Find more details on our website: citizenssf.com/sundays

Our Call to Worship and Confession this past Sunday were written by a church member to honor & engage with Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month this May. And after the service, we enjoyed delicious food from KoJa Kitchen as a way to celebrate Korean & Japanese cultures. We're so grateful for the AAPI brothers and sisters in our church, and thankful for the faithful gospel legacy of so many AAPI Christians in San Francisco's history.

This Sunday, we're continuing our once-a-month series: Thank God for Work. The vocations represented within our church community span a variety of industries, and we want to highlight them through panel interviews! The past few months, it's been so wonderful to hear what folks do for work, to learn what they love about their field & what’s challenging, and to discover how God is moving in workplaces. This Sunday, we'll be hearing from "visualists" – those who curate, edit, style, and create.

We'd love for you to join us this Sunday at New Traditions School at 10 am! There's a parking lot, activities for kids & youth, and coffee & treats. We'll also have a catered meal after the gathering this week, since it's a fourth Sunday! Find more details on our website: citizenssf.com/sundays

We're excited to share that Alec Glass has stepped into the role of lay elder at Citizens! For many years, we've been praying for more elders at Citizens, since Dave has been the solo pastor for over two years. Alec moved through a months-long discernment process and evaluation period, and began his eldership earlier this month.

The questions we're discerning alongside potential elders are: "Would we imitate his life? Would we listen to his voice? Would we follow his lead? Does his appointment increase our confidence in Citizens’ future?" And as they pertain to Alec, we're happy to answer yes to all of these questions!

We're so grateful for the heart, strengths, experience, wisdom, and maturity that Alec brings to our community, and we're excited for how God will further bless our church and city through his elder role.

This past Sunday, our church had a baby dedication for 2 children! The parents from these two families committed to entrust their little ones to God's providential plan & care, instruct them by word & example in the truth of God's word, and pray for them & teach them to pray.

And our church community committed to these children and families, as well: "With joy and thanksgiving, as Christ's church, with God's help, we promise to love, encourage, and support you, as you follow Christ and train your children in the faith."

We're so grateful for all of the children of our church, and praise God for the important presence they bring to our community and our city.

We believe that music is a critical part of church liturgy! Through song, we praise God for who he is and what he has done, confess our sins and lament over brokenness, ask for healing and redemption, and celebrate the good news of being forgiven and beloved.

Whether you love singing loudly, are content to just nod along, or are curious about why music is so important to us, we'd love for you to join us this Sunday morning. We'll be gathering at New Traditions School at 10 am – for more details, visit our website: citizenssf.com/sundays
