Today’s Scripture | Matthew 11:12 NIV

Following God does not mean that life will always be easy or that our faith will never be challenged. Matthew 11:12 reminds us that from the days of John the Baptist, the work of God’s kingdom has moved forward even in the face of opposition.

That truth still speaks to everyday life. There may be seasons when doing what is right is difficult, when circumstances test our faith, or when discouragement makes it tempting to give up. Faith calls us to remain committed—to keep praying, keep trusting, keep seeking God, and keep standing on His Word.

We do not fight with violence; we move forward with faith, courage, perseverance, and obedience to God.

Whatever is challenging your faith today, don’t allow it to pull you away from God. Stay faithful. Stay prayerful. Keep moving forward.

“Quiet! Be still!” — Mark 4:39 NIV

There are seasons when life can feel like a storm—when circumstances change unexpectedly, hearts are heavy, emotions are difficult to carry, and peace feels far away.

Mark 4:39 reminds us that Jesus is present even in the storm. The disciples saw the wind and the waves, but Jesus knew that neither had authority greater than His. With just His words, what seemed uncontrollable became completely calm.

The storms we face may look different, and they may not always disappear as quickly as we would like. But we can still trust the One who is with us in the middle of them. When life becomes overwhelming, we can bring our fear, grief, uncertainty, and burdens to God and allow His presence to quiet what is happening within us.

Whatever today holds, remember: the storm is not greater than the One who is with you.
