Dolly Parton has been an outspoken and enduring ally to the LGBTQ+ community for decades, consistently using her platform to advocate for acceptance, inclusion, and love.

𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Parton publicly endorsed same-sex marriage long before it was federally legalized, famously quipping in a 2014 interview, "𝐼 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑔𝑎𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑠 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑦. 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑠𝑢𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑢𝑠."

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜: In 2005, she wrote and recorded the Oscar-nominated song "𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛' 𝑇ℎ𝑟𝑢" 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑚 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑎”, which centers on the journey of a transgender woman. The song directly addresses themes of identity, redemption, and unconditional acceptance.

𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲: When conservative groups protested unofficial "Gay Days" at Dollywood in the early 2000s, Parton refused to ban LGBTQ+ visitors, stating firmly that everyone was welcome in her park and that Dollywood belongs to all people.

𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Parton has always openly embraced her vast q***r fanbase and the drag community, frequently praising Dolly drag performers and even entering a Dolly Parton look-alike drag contest herself in Los Angeles (where she lost to a drag queen).

𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: She consistently frames her allyship through unconditional love and empathy rather than dogma, often stating that it is not her place to judge others and that her faith calls her to love everyone as they are.
Her unwavering stance has made her one of the most prominent and consistent figures within country music culture to champion LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance.

Through renewed and new friendships, prayer and song, teachings and sharing, we will once more claim our dignity so that we may rejoice in God’s love.

Attendance will cost $375 per person for 2 nights/ 6 meals. As of this post, we have Single* or Double Room occupancy available.

Your visit will include subsidized hotel room, meals (Friday dinner – Sunday Lunch) and program materials. Partial Scholarships are available; additional donations to help cover scholarships and expenses are appreciated.

The hotel site provides an indoor swimming pool as well as the waterfront walking trails of the Cesar Chavez Park right next door!

Public transportation is available from San Francisco BART and Muni/Bus from San Francisco and SFO/Oakland Airports. Parking Fees will apply.
