What if I told you that the greatest battle for your faith isn't happening around you? It's happening beneath the surface.

Every day, God is planting seeds of truth into our hearts. Some never take root. Some spring up with excitement, only to die when life gets difficult.

Some begin to grow, only to be suffocated by worry, success, and the distractions of this world. And then, some produce a harvest beyond imagination. The latter is my prayer for the Crossed Outt Family!

Jesus said the difference isn't the seed. It's the soil. But that's only the beginning.

Why did Moses fast before receiving the Law? Why did Esther call an entire nation to fast before approaching the king? Why did Daniel fast while seeking understanding? Why did Jesus begin His public ministry with forty days of fasting? And why did Jesus say "when you fast," instead of "if you fast"?
