Before Sunday, take a few minutes to read Acts 1:1 to 26 and prepare your heart for the message, “Carry On the Kingdom Work.”

Jesus has not left His church powerless. Our risen and ascended King gives His Spirit, sends His people as witnesses, guides us through prayer and Scripture, and promises to return.

The tomb is empty because King Jesus is alive!

What a joyful Resurrection Sunday as we gathered to worship and celebrate our risen King. Our church was full, and the kids had a great time at the Easter egg hunt before the rain came.

Praise God for a beautiful day together.

We mourn with hope as a church family.

It is with heavy hearts, yet confident hope in Christ, that we share the passing of our dear sister in the Lord, Lucille Benitez Gutierrez (April 2, 1933 – January 18, 2026).

Sister Gutierrez was a longtime, faithful member of our church and a true prayer warrior. Her love for the Lord, devotion to her family, and steady faithfulness in prayer left a lasting impact on our congregation. She served quietly but powerfully, trusting the Lord and encouraging others through her life and witness.

We rejoice that she is now at home with her Savior, even as we grieve her absence among us.

Please keep the Gutierrez family in your prayers during this time.

After keeping an eye on the weather, we’ve made the call to cancel our service this Sunday.

Your safety matters to us, and we want everyone to stay off the roads and stay warm.

Please take care of yourselves and each other, and know that we’re praying for you.

We’re excited to be back together next Sunday!

Baptist Catechism - Week 1

This year, our church is walking together through a Baptist catechism. It is a simple and meaningful way to grow in our understanding of biblical truth. Each week, we will focus on one question and answer, grounded in Scripture, to help us learn more about who God is and what it means to follow Him.

Catechism is not just for kids or classrooms. It is a tool for the whole church. Individuals, families, and groups can use it to reflect on the truth of God's Word, build a strong foundation of faith, and pass that faith on to the next generation. It gives us a regular rhythm to remember what we believe and why we believe it.

If you missed Sunday’s introduction, it is not too late to jump in. Each week includes Scripture, a short devotion, and discussion questions to guide your time. Our prayer is that this helps us grow not only in knowledge, but also in worship, trust, and obedience to Christ.

Let’s commit to growing in truth together throughout the year.

Each January, our church joins with Southern Baptists across the country in praying for missionaries serving around the world. This week marks the annual Week of Prayer for International Missions, a time when we set our hearts toward the nations and ask God to move powerfully through those He has sent.

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is one of the most important ways we support international missions. Every dollar given goes directly to the field, helping missionaries stay focused on the work of reaching the lost, planting churches, and making disciples where the name of Jesus is not yet known. This is work we may never see with our own eyes, but through prayer and giving, we take part in it.

We encourage you and your family to take time each day this week to pray. Pray for missionaries who are facing real challenges. Pray for open hearts in the communities they are serving. Pray for more workers to be called and sent. And pray that we as a church would be faithful to support them however we can.

Let’s begin this new year with a heart for the nations and a renewed commitment to the Great Commission. Our prayers and our giving make an eternal difference.
