📖 Meet Our Romans Teaching Team! 🤎
We are so thankful for these 3 women who will be serving our BSF class by bringing the weekly lectures throughout our Romans: From Guilt to Grace study!
Please join us in praying for our Teaching Leader, Lydia, and our Substitute Teaching Leaders, Sabrina and Tina. ❤️
They have the important responsibility of helping guide us through God’s Word each week, and we are so grateful for their willingness to serve.
🙏 Please pray for Lydia, Sabrina, and Tina: that the Lord would give them wisdom, clarity, humility, and a heart fully centered on His Word as they prepare and teach.
And please pray for our entire class and this Romans study: that God would open our hearts and minds, grow us in our understanding of Scripture, strengthen our faith, and ultimately draw us closer to Christ.
Romans 15:5–6:
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another… that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Good news! Admin still has the lesson books for all the women who pre-ordered their books through their Group Leaders. These will be available for pickup on our first day of class, September 16th. 🤎
They’ve also ordered extra books for the new women who have joined us this year! 🎉
🙏 We’re praying those extra books arrive by Tuesday so they’ll be available for anyone who would like to purchase one on the first day of class.

BSF’s four-fold approach to studying God’s Word is reinforcement without simple repetition. We encounter the same passage multiple times, but through a different lens each time:

📖 Personal study — time to wrestle with the passage ourselves and consider what God may be teaching us personally.

💬 Group discussion — learning in community and hearing perspectives, insights, and experiences we may not have seen on our own.

🎤 Teaching — gaining biblical context, explanation, and application that deepen our understanding.

📝 Notes — drawing on the work of biblical scholars, the notes are another opportunity to reflect, fill in gaps, and connect the pieces.

Each part has its own purpose, but together they create a layered approach to engaging with Scripture. And when life gets busy and we miss or don’t fully absorb one part, there are still other opportunities that week to encounter the truth of the passage.

We’re not simply hearing the same message four times. We’re turning God’s Word and looking at it from different angles — personally, relationally, intellectually, and reflectively.

📚 Before we open Romans together, what if we spend these next 2 weeks preparing more than our notebooks and schedules?

What if we prepare our hearts?

“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” — Psalm 119:18

This week, would you begin praying:

🤍 Lord, give me a hunger for Your Word.
🤍 Help me come teachable and expectant.
🤍 Show me more of who You are.
🤍 Let the truth of the gospel move from my head to my heart—and change the way I live.

And don’t just pray for yourself. Pray for your Group Leader, the women in your group, our teaching leaders, and the woman who hasn’t decided to come yet.
