Thank you to Erica Gonzalez, Executive Director, and Lorris Gibson, Executive Chef of Faith Kitchen , for joining us this past Sunday as part of our Sunday Morning Forums. We were grateful for their presentation and the opportunity to learn more about their ministry and the ways they provide meals and support to neighbors experiencing food insecurity in our community.

We are especially thankful for the insight they shared into the daily work of Faith Kitchen and the meaningful impact their ministry has in our city. Faith Kitchen was the second of several community partners joining us this summer as we continue exploring opportunities for service, outreach, and faithful engagement in our community.

We hope you’ll join us Sundays at 10:00 am in the Large Conference Room as the Sunday Morning Forums continue.

Thank you to Cici Osonma, President and CEO of Special Reach Inc. , for joining us this past Sunday kicking off our Summer Formation Series. We were inspired to learn more about their work supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities and the families who care for them. We are grateful for our partnership with this incredible Green Door Thrift Shop grant recipient and for the difference they make in our community.

Summer Formation Series Begins SUNDAY, June 7
Sundays at 10:00 am | Large Conference Room
This summer, our 10:00 am morning formation hour will combine youth and adult offerings for a special series focused on service, outreach, and faith in everyday life. Throughout the summer, representatives from several local nonprofit organizations will join us to share opportunities for both youth and adults to volunteer and serve in our community. Scheduled speakers include:
Special Reach Inc. (June 7)
Faith Kitchen (June 14)
Christian Assistance Ministry (June 21)
Good Samaritan Community Services (June 28)
Wonders & Worries (July 12)
Magdalena House (July 19)
THRU Project (July 26)
These organizations are recipients of Green Door Thrift Shop grants and are part of ongoing efforts to build meaningful, lasting outreach partnerships for the people of St. Luke’s. On other Sundays throughout the summer, formation will feature discussions on books, movies, music, and other elements of pop culture, exploring how faith both shapes and is shaped by the world around us.

We give thanks for those who took these important steps in their faith journey and for the opportunity to gather as a parish community in celebration and prayer.
