Catholic Community Services of Utah

Catholic Community Services of Utah CCS provides help & creates hope for those with the greatest need in our community. Since then, CCS has operated a variety of programs to serve our community.

Catholic Community Services of Utah started in 1945 when Most Reverend Duane G. Hunt of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City recognized the need for an organized effort to assist the poor and needy. As needs have shifted over the years, so has CCS’ response to those needs. Some programs have ceased operation, while others have been newly formed to meet new needs. Currently CCS operate two depart

ments—Migration & Refugee Services and Basic Needs. Migration & Refugee Services, which encompasses Refugee Resettlement, Refugee Foster Care, and Immigration, exists to assist those settling into life in the United States smoothly transition to life in a new country and reach self-sufficiency. Basic Needs, both in Salt Lake City and in Ogden, exists to provide those impacted by housing, food, and income insecurity with the resources they need. For over 75 years, CCS has worked diligently to provide help and create hope along the Wasatch front.

*CCS is an an equal opportunity employer and provider who values diversity.

Meet Madison, one of our Foster Family Consultants with Refugee Foster Care. In her role, Madi supports youth, foster families, and her team by helping foster parents navigate their relationships with the youth in their homes and providing guidance through complex situations.

Since joining CCS, Madi has done an incredible job navigating cases with compassion, insight, and dedication. She shared, “Working for CCS and RFC have been such an amazing experience. Getting to know coworkers, foster families, and youth has been such a joy with learning about various cultures and backgrounds.”

Madi says her favorite part of her job is the relationships she has built and the lessons she has learned along the way. Her humor, experience, and strong work ethic make a lasting impact on the youth, families, and coworkers she serves each day.

Thank you, Madi, for all you do!
