The event will feature representations of Our Lady from many different cultures and countries. the celebration will take place at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton on October 10 from 3:30 PM - 8 PM. The Eccles Organ Festival begins this Sunday, September 13, at 8:00 PM, with a recital by acclaimed concert artist and pedagogue Nicole Keller at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. A faculty member at the University of Michigan, Keller is celebrated for her stylistic versatility and precision, bringing a distinguished career as both a soloist and orchestral organist to a program that spans centuries of musical expression. Featuring works by César Franck, Felix Mendelssohn, Arvo Pärt, George Shearing, and Charles Tournemire, the recital balances German Baroque and French Romantic traditions with modern minimalism, culminating in Tournemire’s radiant Choral-Improvisation sur le “Victimae paschali.”

Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Domínguez-Escalante Expedition and welcome the Cross and Culture Relay to the Cathedral of the Madeleine, the mother church of Catholics in Utah!

Sponsored by the Spanish Fork Historic Preservation Commission, the Cross and Culture Relay is traveling 1,300 miles over 52 days, retracing the historic journey through New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. The relay carries a ceremonial cross, educational display, and flags commemorating the Franciscan friars and their remarkable 1776 expedition.

The relay will stop at the Cathedral on September 23 at 6:30 PM.
