"Come Unto Me," located on the lower level of the Temple Square Visitors’ Center, portrays Jesus Christ extending His arm in a gesture of welcome, strength, and compassion.

Carved from beautiful Carrara marble by Swiss artist Christian Bolt, this inspiring sculpture reflects the Savior’s invitation for all to come to Him and find peace. Inspired by His words in John 15:5, the statue reminds each visitor of Christ’s care for everyone.

Join one of our curators at the Church History Museum as he shares the story behind a powerful artifact.

Marked by bullet holes and stains, this set of clothing worn by Hyrum Smith in Carthage Jail stands as a witness not only of tragedy, but of unwavering devotion. Hyrum and Joseph chose to stand by each other and their beliefs, even in the face of danger.

This set of clothing, along with other early Church history artifacts, are on permanent display at the Church History Museum at Temple Square.

The Church History Museum is free and open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, Friday, and Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

“Jesus Christ Carrying the Cross,” created by sculptor Michael Hall, who is also the artist behind the First Vision statue at Temple Square, portrays the Savior during His final walk to Calvary.

Located just outside the Temple Square Visitors’ Center near the “Jesus Christ in Gethsemane” statue, these statues together serve as a reminder of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

All are invited to visit Temple Square to experience the statues in person and step inside the newly opened Temple Square Visitors' Center.
