Rejoice in Christ.

That's the theme of the Salt Lake Temple Celebration, announced this week to a room full of neighbors, friends, and a children's choir.

"We invite you to come and see and love Jesus Christ and the people who come here," said President .

A million people have already said yes. Open house tickets were reserved within 24 hours, by people all over the world.

Welcome all to the Salt Lake Temple. Temples are sacred places where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints go to worship. From April 5 - October 1, 2027, the Salt Lake Temple will be open to the public for tours. Free ticket reservations are now available at templesquare.org and the free Temple Square app.

The Salt Lake Temple Celebration will also include other activities, performances, and historic building tours. For details on any of these events, visit the app or website.

Are you part of a performing group? Come share your talents at the Salt Lake Temple Celebration!

Throughout the Celebration, multiple stages across Temple Square will come to life with music and performances from a wide range of groups and genres. Different venues will be available to suit the needs of selected groups.

We invite performers of all experience levels from the community to apply — performers must be at least 8 years old. Groups of 4 to 100+ are welcome, including vocal, instrumental, or folk/cultural ensembles.

Have you been thinking about applying to be a volunteer at the Salt Lake Temple Celebration next year? Here’s some more information that might help you decide.

There are both week-long and multiple-month commitment options! If you can volunteer for just 1 week, you can serve in one of the most important roles — parking and transportation. You will be the first and last person guests see as they experience the Celebration and feel the love of God.

If you can serve for 8 weeks, it may sound like a lot, but it’s only 24 hours in total! One 3 - 4 hour shift a week adds up to a full day of service over 2 months.

This is going to be an incredible Celebration spanning 6 months and the entire Temple Square campus. We need over 30,000 volunteers in order to make sure every visitor has a wonderful experience. Each role is important and at its core the Celebration is about service — come serve with us! You can submit your volunteer application using the link bio until September 14, 2026. For everyone who has applied, we will notify you about your application beginning September 15 through November 30.
