For generations, the doors of the Salt Lake Temple have represented faith, hope, covenants, and belonging. Today, the restored and reinforced doors of the Salt Lake Temple were officially reinstalled.

Soon, these doors will open to all.

From April through October 2027, we invite the world to tour this sacred house of the Lord, built through decades of sacrifice, craftsmanship, and devotion.

As we prepare to welcome visitors from around the globe, share your photo.

A wedding day. A first temple visit. A family sealing. A sacred visit to the grounds. A moment that changed your life.

We’d love to see the memories, stories, and sacred beginnings that started when those doors opened for you.

This quilt, located on the lower level of the Temple Square Visitors’ Center, represents the global family of God. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from around the world worked together to create 91 quilt blocks, each reflecting themes of family and faith.

Countries represented in the quilt include Hungary, Canada, the Netherlands, Ethiopia, Honduras, and many others.

In quilting, strong stitches join individual pieces of fabric to create a beautiful, unified design. Similarly, in temples, sacred covenants unite individuals, families, and generations with one another and with God.

The Visitors' Center is open 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. every day of the week.

"Come Unto Me," located on the lower level of the Temple Square Visitors’ Center, portrays Jesus Christ extending His arm in a gesture of welcome, strength, and compassion.

Carved from beautiful Carrara marble by Swiss artist Christian Bolt, this inspiring sculpture reflects the Savior’s invitation for all to come to Him and find peace. Inspired by His words in John 15:5, the statue reminds each visitor of Christ’s care for everyone.
