Asbury Child Development Center

Asbury Child Development Center Asbury Child Develoipment Center is a community ministry of Asbury United Methodist Church. All programs are certified by the Maryland State Board of Education.

It's a pre-school with class offerings from two years through kindergarten. All ACDC teachers and director meet state teaching requirements with college degrees. In addition all have courses in early childhood education as well as a minimum of 12 hours annually in continuing education. Classroom aides have a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education annually. All staff are CPR certified with first aid refresher courses, and all have had state and federal criminal background checks.

Today marks a very bittersweet day - it is officially the last day of school for our Kindergarten friends!
Watching some of these students grow up at AcDC since they were just 2 years old has been an absolute privilege. Over the last several years, it has been a true joy to watch them learn, explore, and master new skills.
As they move on to their new schools, we want to wish them the absolute best. We will miss them dearly, but know they are ready to do great things in the future!

Thank you to all the ACDC families for making our schools Field Day a massive success!!! Your energy, game-playing and cheering made the day unforgettable for the children.
We also extend a huge thank you to the WiHi National Honor Society students!! Your incredible help running activities and cleaning up made the entire event run smoothly.
We truly appreciate our amazing school and community!!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at Asbury Child Development Center! We want to first thank everyone for all the love and gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week. Our community completely spoiled out staff, and we are incredibly grateful!! Here is a look back at our week of delicious treats:
Monday: A wonderful Chick-Fil-A lunch provided by The Gibson Family
Tuesday: An amazing lunch from Boo Daddy’s BBQ provided by ACDC!
Wednesday: A beautiful breakfast provided by the ACDC Board!
Thursday: A fun mystery day where we got to “wait and see!!!”
Friday: A fantastic breakfast provided by The Hoster Family!

Your families and board members are always so incredibly supportive and thoughtful. Thank you for making our staff feel so valued and loved every single day!!!
