Wayne Street Church is a Global Methodist Church located at 130 North Wayne Street in St. We offer two Worship Services on Sundays. A traditional service is held at 8:30 AM and a contemporary service is held at 10:45 AM. Vision Statement:

Making disciples of Jesus Christ: The church intentionally develops disciples of Jesus Christ through small groups. Worship passionately: The church gathers to worship and hear the Gospel so it can be applied to everyday life. Love extravagantly: The church believes in loving extravagantly and witnessing boldly. Commitment and accountability: The church believes that commitment and accountability are vital for spiritual growth. Prayer: The church believes that prayer is the cornerstone of all that they do. Children are a sacred gift from God: The church believes that children are a sacred gift from God and accepts a responsibility to protect and nurture them

For more than three months, we’ve been traveling alongside the Apostle Paul through the book of Acts, celebrating the mountain-top moments, navigating shipwrecks and persecution, and watching the Gospel move across the world.

This Sunday, we reach the finish line.

As we wrap up our journey through Acts 28, we’re left with a question that isn’t just about Paul…

What will you do with Jesus?

And if you’ve never joined us before, or it’s been a while since you’ve been in church—we would love for this Sunday to be your Sunday. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to know what to expect. Just come as you are, with your questions, your doubts, and an open heart. There’s a seat for you here, and we’d love to welcome you.

Whether you’ve been with us every step of the way or this will be your very first time, come worship with us, and bring a friend!

Yesterday, we walked through Paul’s incredible journey in Acts 27—a man caught in a 14-day storm, chained, and facing an uncertain future. Yet Paul refused to let his circumstances define him.

While everyone else panicked, Paul stood firm in his faith, trusted God, and helped lead all 276 people safely to shore.

The reminder for us is simple: Don’t let the storms of life convince you that you are powerless. Through Christ, we are called to be overcomers.

As you head into this week, don’t give up. Don’t let the enemy convince you to quit. God is still in control, even in the middle of the storm.

Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep overcoming.

Are you tired of living in a world that seems to celebrate victimhood?

What if constantly focusing on how bad we have it doesn’t lead to freedom, but actually keeps us stuck?

This Sunday, August 30, we’re diving into one of the most dramatic stories in the Bible: Acts 27.

The Apostle Paul found himself in the middle of a brutal 14-day storm at sea. He was wrongfully arrested, bound in chains, and surrounded by fear and chaos. If anyone had a reason to give up and feel helpless, it was Paul.

But he didn’t. Instead, Paul stood up, broke bread, spoke truth, and led 276 people through the storm and toward safety.

This Sunday, we’ll talk about what it means to live not as a victim of our circumstances, but as an overcomer in Christ. We’ll explore faith, resilience, courage, and the holy grit we need when life gets stormy.

If you’re ready to stop letting your circumstances define you and start living with confidence in what God can do through you, you won’t want to miss it!
